What a wild month, March 2020, has been! Who would have thought that March would have ended with a global pandemic? Probably a lot of people but still, wild! Did you guys get a lot of reading done in March? I started off STRONG! I was in the mood and ready to go, but with the world falling apart, my reading slowed. I have spent a lot of my time crafting, playing animal crossing, and watching Twitch. I did, however, end up reading 7 books!
All The Bright Places 3/5
I totally jumped on the bandwagon with this book; the movie was just recently released on Netflix so I thought there was no better time to read it from my TBR shelf. The book was really great and sad. The movie, however, meh. Actually less then meh, it is nothing like the book! It made me angry. There was so much that could have been added, and the timeline even changed. I would strongly recommend reading the book though; it’s full of deep emotions, difficult topics, and wonderful adventures. You can skip the movie though, don’t even bother.
The Future Of Us 4/5
This book has been on my TBR for YEARS! Like probably since it came out in 2012. I finally decided to read it this month, and I was so mad at myself that I didn’t read this earlier. I loved the story idea, the romance, and the awkward friendship between Emma and Josh. Emma realizes that she can see their futures through Facebook before it was even invented! The idea is amazing, totally recommend.
The Proposal 4/5
The Proposal starts with Nik’s actor boyfriend proposing to her at a baseball game, after 4 months! WHAT! The whole story walks through the aftermath of the awful experience. Carlos and her sister come and rescue her, and the rest evolves from here. This book has a great group of friends and strong individuals. It talks about some intense topics, but you see Nik persevere and it makes me so happy. Such a great romance!
Stay tuned for my full review, but bruh! This book got me. It did me dirty. It made me feel so much! I would strongly recommend this thriller to ANYONE AND EVERYONE! That is all I’m doing to say about it, but my full review will be up next week.
Heartstopper 1, 2, and 3 5/5
Don’t even get me started on this comic series! It is everything I love in a comic book and more. I can’t believe that I didn’t know about this comic before because I am all about that LGBTQ+ community! I would strongly recommend purchasing these books, support the author and artist! You can check it out on Tapas or on Alice’s website too. Please read them! They are lovely!!
That is all for my March Reading Wrap up. What was your favourite book in March? Did you read as much as you wanted to or did you hit a bit of a reading slump in the end like me? Let me know 🙂
