Nights in Rodanthe – Nicholas Sparks
Typically Nicholas Sparks is always a 5 star writer for me but this wasn’t one of my favourites by him. It was still undeniably cute and wholesome but it just didn’t quite cut it for me in every aspect. It was pretty predictable which I didn’t love. It is still a cute short read though.
Radio Silence – Alice Oseman
OMG LOVE! Alice Oseman is just the bees knees to me. I haven’t read anything from her that I didn’t love. Radio Silence just broke my damn heart. I couldn’t stop reading it. I related so much to Frances and will totally be writing a full review so stay tuned for this amazing book review.
Oshibana Complex – Craig Hallam
I was gifted this book by Independent Quill, and I was interested to read it as it is a different genre than what I typically read. It didn’t quite meet the mark for me. I was a bit confused all the time. I loved the idea behind it and really wanted to love this book but it just needed a bit more for me.
Midnight Sun – Stephanie Meyer
Oh Stephanie, I wanted to love this so much and I probably would have if it was released YEARS ago. I think the problem that I had with this book was kinda on me. I no longer read fantasy and this was just a lot. I didn’t expect this book to be this long and I think it would have been a bit better if it was shorter. Edward had MANY thoughts and sometimes it felt a bit unnecessary. I liked seeing his side of the story though.
I’m Thinking of Ending Things – Iain Reid
I’m sorry but what even is this book. I was recommended this book by a coworker and I am really glad that I read it, but how the hell are you supposed to figure out what happens?! I watched the movie after thinking they would wrap it all up better and it actually made me even more confused. I’m glad that I watched the movie though because it made me like the book better lol. If you wanted to be beyond confused and extremely creeped out then read this book or watch the movie. Can we just talk about Jake’s parents?! WHY ARE THEY SO CREEPY!
